Jagdeep Kumar Rana is the Managing Director, India at FuelBuddy, bringing 38 years of leadership experience from IndianOil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), one of India’s largest oil and gas companies. At IOCL, he most recently served as Executive Director, Northern Region, overseeing LPG operations, plant management, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) functions across 10 states and 168 operational locations.
Jagdeep’s career reflects a deep commitment to operational excellence and reliable last-mile fuel delivery. He played a significant role in supporting Operation Sindoor by ensuring the timely and uninterrupted supply of essential fuel to defence forces, and led the rollout of the PM Ujjwala Yojana across Punjab, expanding LPG access to millions of households.
Over nearly four decades at IOCL, Jagdeep held progressively senior roles spanning plant operations, regional LPG business management, and corporate safety leadership — including commissioning the Jaipur Bottling Plant, India’s first LPG facility on a cross-country pipeline, and driving early digital transformation through SAP and Indsoft implementations. He is a B.Sc. Civil Engineering graduate from REC Kurukshetra and an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad’s Management Education Programme.
At FuelBuddy, Jagdeep now brings this scale, safety rigour, and on-ground operational depth to lead the company’s India business, as FuelBuddy reimagines last-mile fuel delivery for a digital age and expands its doorstep fuel-delivery network across the country.
